1. Presentation
One of the purposes of segmentation is to create homogenous population groups, register them for reuse, or communicate to this qualified audience with an appropriate message to increase their engagement. Once a population segment is created, it must then be registered.
Name your list with a name that will allow you to recognize it. There are two choices: save my segmentation to make a static list, or to make a dynamic list. Choose then click on create.
2. Static lists
The static list is a list that will not change over time. The contacts in it will remain there no matter how they behave. This is useful when calculating the return on investment of campaigns, or simply when we only need a list once.
A contact can be added/removed from a static list from the Contact page, but also from a rooting form. This is particularly useful for allowing contacts to subscribe or unsubscribe autonomously from a newsletter, for example. The optin list attached to a form must always be a static list.
3. Dynamic lists
The dynamic list is a list that is updated daily. Each time a new contact enters the targeting criteria, he will be automatically added to this list. Conversely, a person who no longer matches the criteria will be automatically removed from the list.
