What is consent management in Arenametrix?
Understanding how consents and the preference centre work
Consents allow you to collect the explicit agreement of your contacts regarding the types of communications they wish to receive. They are the foundation of a targeted, personalised, and GDPR-compliant marketing strategy.
In Arenametrix, each consent is linked to a dedicated list that updates automatically: a contact who gives their agreement is added to the corresponding list, a contact who unsubscribes is removed. These lists are synced in real time with Brevo, ensuring your campaigns always target up-to-date contacts.
1. Where do consents come from?
Consents can be collected in two main ways:
-
If your ticketing system offers checkboxes at the point of purchase, Arenametrix automatically retrieves these consents and links them to each contact profile in your CRM.
-
If your ticketing system does not collect any consents, Arenametrix allows you to create a preference centre: a form your contacts fill in to indicate the types of communications they wish to receive. This form can be embedded on your website, in your emails, or directly within the purchase journey. To learn more, check out this article.

2. Why manage consents carefully?
A well-consented database allows you to segment your contacts based on their real interests, reduce marketing pressure, and maintain a high engagement rate over the long term. It is also a strong trust signal for your contacts: you only send them what they have chosen to receive.
If you need to manually add or remove a consent for a contact, see this article.
